Exhibitions & Art Projects at Villa 102
Spacious installations, thematic group exhibitions, concentrated solo presentations: At regular intervals, the foundation KfW Stiftung showcases the art of its fellows and art projects curated specifically for the venue at Villa 102. These formats are developed in close dialogue with the Foundation’s funding activities: They provide a platform for outstanding artists and address cultural and social issues.
The historic Villa 102 is more than just a backdrop: this upper-class residence from 1912 is a repository of its own eventful history —an architectural monument and a place of remembrance for Jewish life in Frankfurt, as well as a venue for encounters and discourse as the former Frankfurt Literaturhaus.
Since the opening of Villa 102 in 2019, the foundation KfW Stiftung has used the building as a platform for culture and dialogue. Through the art program, discursive perspectives on memory and history are made visible and tangible through the interplay between art and architecture.
