What We Write to Each Other - Beyond the Letter Exchange. Tamanna Easar & Yael Inokai
In partnership with Untold Narratives (London) and Weiter Schreiben e.V. (Berlin), the foundation KfW Stiftung is supporting a network for women writers in Afghanistan and the diaspora through the Untold Literatures – Paranda Network programme. In a series of literary events, the authors and their German partner writers will have their say. The events strengthen intercultural dialogue and give visibility to marginalised perspectives.
What We Write to Each Other - Beyond the letter exchange. Tamanna Easar & Yael Inokai
Two women, one correspondence: As part of the project Untold Narratives – Weiter Schreiben. Correspondence with Afghan Authors an author from the Paranda Network and a German writer engaged in an intensive letter exchange. Across borders, they wrote letters to one another—personal, poetic, political.
Now they are meeting for the first time. In a reading and discussion, they will offer insights into their correspondence, talk about writing, about closeness at a distance, and about how literature can open up spaces that would otherwise remain inaccessible.
A literary event about encounters and retelling unheard stories.
