Workshop Presentation: Frankfurt Moves!

From 20 July to 16 August 2026, as part of the Frankfurt Moves! residency programme, emerging artists from Chile, Hong Kong, Lebanon, Tanzania and Turkey will be guests at the Frankfurt LAB to engage in artistic work for one month. The selected artists approach the world in different ways: How can it be grasped? Narrated? Expressed through dance? Transformed? They come from very different societies, but they are united by a curiosity about the reality surrounding us.

Warm invitation to our summer showing

At the workshop presentation at the end of their stay in Frankfurt, they will offer insights into their artistic research in both halls of the Frankfurt LAB. The workshop presentation will take place in two blocks, each featuring 2–3 performances lasting approximately half an hour. In between and afterward, there will be cool drinks, snacks, talks, music and plenty of opportunities to get to know the fellows on the summer terrace.

Children are welcome! From 14:30 to 20:00, we’ll be offering a free circus workshop on our terrace for children ages 6 and up.

Admission is free. However, seating at the stages is limited. We therefore ask that you register for the programme slots. It is possible to reserve seats for both programme slots. The terrace is also open to all visitors during the presentations. Reservations can be made via Frankfurt LAB:

About Frankfurt Moves!

The international artist residency Frankfurt Moves! has been successfully strengthening multidisciplinary contemporary art production, promoting emerging creative talent and fostering intercultural dialogue since 2022. An initiative of the foundation KfW Stiftung to promote artistic exchange and intercultural dialogue with different partners in the region, the scholarship programme in cooperation with Frankfurt LAB supports emerging international artists in the performing arts. In 2026, more than 200 artists from Africa, Asia, Latin America and the WANA region applied and an expert jury selected seven fellowship recipients. The support extends beyond the artists stay in Frankfurt: After the residency, the fellows receive additional support to continue their artistic work in their home contexts for another month.
