Resonance. Six Voices, Two Cities

SAVE THE DATE- Exhibition at VILLA 102

Resonance. Six Voices, Two Cities brings together six young artists from Hochschule für Bildende Künste – Städelschule Frankfurt and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana. The exhibition is the result of a vibrant exchange, developed during six-month residencies at the respective institutions and continued in the artworks themselves, shown now together for the first time at Villa 102. On view are expansive installations and works across various media that place body, space and history in productive tension. By mapping and reimaging urban landscapes, the artists and their works become part of a relational experience. Resonance invites visitors to encounter artistic positions that reflect on the experiences of travelling, arriving and being in between.

With Abdul-Salam Alhassan, Neal Hoey, Sopo Kashakashvili, Priscilla Kennedy, Daniel Arnan Quarshie and Ana Paula dos Santos

The exhibition is curated by KfW Stiftung and part of the collaboration Frankfurt Moves! between Hochschule für Bildende Künste–Städelschule, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST) and KfW Stiftung.
