Social entrepreneurship theory & practice
Thinking societal change. The seminar “Social entrepreneurship: theory and practice” was designed to raise awareness for this topical issue.
Initiated by Humboldt-Universitäts-Gesellschaft, it was added to the syllabus for the first time in the summer semester of 2015 by the career centre of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The seminar was developed by Social Impact gGmbH in Berlin. It covered the various areas of activity involved in social entrepreneurship as well as economic concepts and methods of generating ideas. The students had the opportunity to exchange views with experts from social enterprises, start-ups and foundations. The seminar was open to undergraduates in all bachelor degree programmes, given that thinking and working in an interdisciplinary setting produces the best ideas.
